Contrary to plans, no Zayn Malik will be seen in this week’s “The Graham Norton Show.” This TV guesting should have been Malik’s comeback appearance on TV following his controversial farewell to One Direction. Directioners and Malik’s fans were utterly heartbroken with this announcement. Apparently, Malik has an irreconcilable schedule, thus the need to cancel on the popular TV show.
According to BBC, Zayn Malik, former member of British all-male band One Direction, was set to perform his first solo single in the show on Friday, January 29. But Malik’s team was apologetic to confirm that the ex-Directioner won’t appear on the show because of conflicting schedules.
A representative to the pop singer released a statement saying, “Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts with recording commitments, Zayn’s appearance on Graham Norton has been postponed.” Though there are no further updates regarding the rescheduling of his guesting. The representative only promised that “Zayn has confirmed that he would love to appear on the show at a later date.”
In a report made by Metro, Malik is set to release his first solo single “Pillow Talk” on Friday and a full album by spring this year. Nothing much about the album’s details were out as of this moment.
Fans are obviously not pleased with his decision. However, supporters were relieved when Zane Lowe, former BBC Radio 1 DJ, posted on Instagram the news that Malik will be joining him on his show. Along with Hollywood actors Will Smith and Ryan Reynolds, Zayn Malik will guest on Lowe’s Beats 1 in Apple Music’s radio station. The interview will air on Thursday, January 28, making this Malik’s first live appearance.
