Do iPad Pro’s regular colors bore you? Are you wishing for a range of fresh colors? Do you want Apple to introduce bright colors, like what other tablet and laptop brands are doing? As we all know, whenever the brand tries something new, fans have to pay for it. Though Apple has not introduced a range of new colors, a limited edition of yellow iPad Pro is here.
Apple’s Jony Ive, along with his team, has designed a bright yellow iPad Pro to support a Design Museum charity auction, which will be held in London on April 28. Along with the yellow iPad Pro, you will also get an Apple Pencil, a Smart Cover and a leather case. How much is this bright color costing you?
According to a report published on Tech Radar, the yellow iPad Pro is expected to be sold at “around £15,000 (roughly US$21,300 or AU$27,600).”
The report also mentioned, “Be prepared to dig deep into your pockets if you’re planning to turn up: all of the 39 lots are expected to sell for £10,000 (US$14,200 or AU$18,400) and above, so it’s not really for those of us on a budget.”
The actual price off the yellow iPad Pro will be known only at the auction.
Phillips, the site where the yellow iPad Pro has been listed, describes the designer in its own words. Here is what the website has to say about Jony Ive:
“Unique and exclusive customised design by the Apple Design Team for Time for Design. Jony Ive showed a prototype mobile phone at the Design Museum in 1990, long before he started working for Apple. He was winner of the museum’s first ‘Designer of the Year’ award in 2003 for the iMac. To support the museum, he and his team in Cupertino have designed this special iPad Pro in a unique colour numbered Edition 1 of 1.”
