Only three months before director Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Apocalypse” flies high in theaters. The producers of the motion picture unleashed a new teaser on the film’s Instagram. The latest clip reinforces themes of the latest chapter in the X-Men saga.
The new video shows how Apocalypse is determined to destroy mankind.
Comic Book Resources also reports that the official Instagram account of the film shared a post from actress Olivia Munn, who plays the character Psylocke.
Fox Movies reports that the official synopsis of the “X-Men: Apocalypse” goes,
“Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past. Since the dawn of civilization, Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, Apocalypse is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutant villains, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven played by Jennifer Lawrence with the help of James McAvoy portraying Professor X must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”
The cast of “X-Men: Apocalypse” includes Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Olivia Munn, Evan Peters, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, and Ben Hardy.
“X-Men: Apocalypse” is directed by Bryan Singer. Simon Kinberg, Hutch Parker, and Lauren Shuler Donner are the film’s producers. The screenplay of the movie was accomplished by Kinberg. The story was written by Singer, Kinberg, Michael Dougherty & Dan Harris.
“X-Men: Apocalypse” is slated to hit cinemas on May 27, 2016.
