WWE SummerSlam 2015: Jon Stewart Will Now Host SummerSlam After The Daily Show

Jon Stewart, after an emotional farewell episode of his former show, “The Daily Show,” will be hosting will be hosting the WWE SummerSlam on Sunday, August 23. Find out what else is to be expected from WWE Summerslam 2015.

Feud with Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins

According to ComingSoon.net, Stewart involved himself in a feud with the WWE Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins after he mocked Rollins in an online video. Subsequently, the WWE champion made an appearance on “The Daily Show,” challenging Stewart to appear on Monday Night Raw to exact their score.

According to USA Today, SummerSlam will also feature a contest between Rollins and current United States Champion John Cena, the much-anticipated match between Brock Lesnar and the Undertaker (a rematch of their WrestleMania contest, where Lesnar ended the Undertaker’s winning streak), and “Arrow” star Stephen Amell who will team up with Adrian Neville in a tag team contest against Stardust and Wade Barrett.

Stewart’s last appearance as the host of The Daily Show was on August 6. He has interviewed a range of celebrities and personalities during his stint – including, President Barack Obama, former President Jimmy Carter, Halle Berry, Ben Affleck, Bruce Springsteen, Shaquille O’Neal, and Bill Gates.

Sunday’s SummerSlam will be a four-hour broadcast, in addition to a one-hour pre-show, from Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center.
