Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel were initially believed to be at odds. But if the latest reports are true, the drama outside the movie set could be nothing more than a publicity stunt for “Fast 8” and “Wrestlemania 33”.
Various mediums have come out in the open to shed light on the real score between Johnson and Diesel. And the consensus that both planned to add the ‘rift’ to gain attention.
“The Rock convinced Vin to amp up the drama between them so they could turn it into a WWE match to help promote the April 2017 release of Fast 8,” reported Life & Style.

For those who are not able to follow, it was “The Rock” himself who instigated everything when he called a few unidentified male co-stars “candy asses” via his Instagram account.
Much of this was part of a previous article here on Morning News USA, which bared how the two even had a secret meeting that didn’t turn out well.
It was believed at that time that the tension reached high levels and that the two were simply going through the motions of finishing production for “Fast 8,” which hits theaters next year.
Jason Statham not joining in
Before the so-called huge prank came out, there were stars expectedly approached to weigh in. One of them was co-star Jason Statham. He opted to stay out of it and said that doesn’t want to get involved with other people’s business.
“I have nothing to do with it and I don’t want any part of it,” Statham said via People.com.
It remains to be seen if there is any truth to seeing the two settle their differences at Wrestlemania 33 though majority believe that that two heavyweights are unlikely to go at it physically for the sake of promoting “Fast 8”.
