Mick Foley Takes Time Out, WWE Return Unknown

Most people need a break and that includes WWE stars. Mick Foley has been doing great rendering out storylines but even a legend needs some time out.

Most people need a break and that includes WWE stars. Mick Foley has been doing great rendering out storylines but even a legend needs some time out.

The word out is that Mick Foley may be missing a couple of shows. The WWE hardcore legend will spend more time with his family and do volunteer work playing Santa Claus, Pro Wrestling Sheet reported.

Mick Foley not fired or released

Mick Foley is expected to miss some shows and some may get the impression that the WWE Raw acting general manager was axed. The WWE has not issued any formal statement on such, meaning it may be nothing more than a temporary respite. He is likely to return on the Jan. 2, 2017 edition of WWE Raw.

There is no word on how long Mick Foley would be out of the WWE scene. Someone could be tasked to take over unless Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon takes over temporarily. The creative team could make it look like Foley is sick, something similar to the shunning of James Ellsworth’s heavyweight match against AJ Styles.

Stephanie Flipping Sami Zayn Script

With Mike Foley out, there is a chance that the creative team uses this to alter some scripts. Foley is tied to a script involving Sami Zayn who almost got traded to WWE SmackDown for Eva Marie.

While that was more of an attempt to insult Zayn’s fragile nature, the star will be taking on Braun Strowman at WWE Roadblock: End of the Line this Dec. 18, Cageside Seats reported. From there, it remains to be seen if the feud will continue or not. Zayn needs to survive 10 minutes against the man-mountain to prove himself.

The odds are stacked up against Sami Zayn though scripts easily alter that into something interesting. There are possibilities such as seeing Zayn turn heel. All that can be seen starting at 8 p.m. ET when WWE Roadblock: End of the Line kicks off this Sunday.
