Things are turning for the worse between the United States and Russia as the latter plans a nuclear attack and the former turns to cell towers as cruise missile weapons.
According to reports, the United States has secretly raised the alarms for DEFCON 3 while Russia has started preparing for a full out war. Is it time for World War 3?
DEFCON refers a US military alert system that indicates the present threat of nuclear war. The system is comprise of five alert states with DEFCON 5 as the least severe and DEFCON 1 as the most severe. At the moment, many believe that the level is at DEFCON 5 although some conspiracy theories suggest that the threat has been upgraded secretly to DEFCON 3. This also means that the United States could prepare its troops in as fast as 15 minutes.
US Nuclear Attack Become DEFCON 3
According to Express, the level previously went to 3 following the September 11, 2001 attack with officials putting a standby to possible DEFCON 2. The report cited website DEFCON warning system saying that it has been bumped up again. That is despite no imminent threats to the United States. The source said that the situation could be considered “fluid and can change rapidly.”
“Tensions between Russia and the United States have reached levels beyond the cold war in the recent week,” it claimed.
“The situation between Russia and the United States is extremely fluid at the moment. In all likelihood as dynamic as at times during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.
“At this time, the DEFCON Warning System feels that an increase to DEFCON 3 would be a prudent move.”
Russia Turns Cell Towers Into Cruise Missile Weapons
Another report from National Interest said that Russian generals have always feared American submarines and aircraft launching precision-guided cruise missiles. The report said Russia is “freaked out” by the scenario that it has started working on militarizing its civilian communications infrastructure. Particularly, Russia has been purchasing jamming devices that it can mount to cell phone towers.
“At the present time, the tests of the item have been completed and the system has been accepted into the inventory,” claimed a Russian Defense Ministry spokesman.
