According to U.S. military bosses, a major conflict between the global superpowers are in fact inevitable.

“A conventional conflict in the near future will be extremely lethal and fast, and we will not own the stopwatch,” explained Maj. Gen. William Hix on a future-of-the-Army panel at the annual meeting of the Association of the U.S. Army in Washington, as reported by Defence One.

“The speed of events are likely to strain our human abilities,” said Hix.

“The speed at which machines can make decisions in the far future is likely to challenge our ability to cope, demanding a new relationship between man and machine.”

Likewise, the United States may have to deal further with its influencing waning in Asia – case in point, Pakistan. According to Times of India, the United States is “no longer a world power” and Pakistan is expected to ally further with China and Russia.

“(The) US is no longer a world power. It is a declining power. Forget about it,” said special Kashmir envoy of Sharif, Mushahid Hussain Syed.
