Laura Prepon, the “Orange is the New Black” actress portraying the role of Alex, will be back for the 4th season of the show. According to latest report, she is not rethinking about portraying the character of a lesbian in the show. The actress is tied to Scientology and thus there were rumors that she will not be returning.
According to an insider, “Scientologists aren’t fond of the gay lifestyle.” The “insider” adds, “Laura has nothing against gay people personally, but she takes her religion seriously.” Another source mentioned that Laura is talking about leaving the show because she wants a pay hike.
There are other reports that suggest completely the opposite. As per the TV Guide report, the character of Alex is going to be back in “Orange is the New Black” season 4 and she is pissed. She now knows that she was the target and deals with the situation better. Prepon told TV Guide, “I don’t think you’re going to see a more timid side of Alex.”
There is one more issue that is surfacing: the overcrowding issue. There are several cast members who complained about the same. Kate Mulgrew, who plays the character Galina “Red” Reznikov said, “[The overcrowding issues] are going to carry over to every nook and cranny in our prison, believe me when I tell you that,” adding, “What [creator Jenji Kohan]’s going to do that no other creator is capable of doing with such expertise is, she’s going to make you feel overcrowded.”
“Orange is the New Black” season 4 is going to premier in June 2016 but the cast and fans are already curious about gossips, spoilers and more.
