What is better than one Pixar film in a year? The answer: two Pixar films in a year!
After the animation company earned praises for its stunning work in “Inside Out,” Pixar is showing zero signs of slowing down by releasing the trailer for its new offering “The Good Dinosaur.”
The trailer, which showcases perhaps their most incredible-looking CGI ever, has plenty of things to make even doubters impressed with the work being poured over the material. The setting looks as real as possible, but the characters are as cartoony as they can get – perhaps Pixar is trying to avoid comparisons with Disney’s 2000 movie “Dinosaur.”
“The Good Dinosaur” is set in a world where the great meteor that wiped away the dino population never crashed on Earth; hence the creatures still roam freely on the land. The trailer shows plenty of creatures the two characters would have to contend with in order to survive. Arlo, a green Apatosaurus, is voiced by Raymond Ochoa, while other actors lending their voices are Jack Bright, Jeffrey Wright, Steve Zahn, AJ Buckley, Anna Paquin, Sam Elliott, Frances McDormand and Marcus Scribner.
Peter Sohn makes his directorial debut here after “Partly Cloudy,” the short film that accompanied “Up.”
The movie is set to be released on November 25.
