Watch OS 2 update has been postponed as the company discovered a bug in it. The company says the update will be released soon after fixing the bug.
A major software update that was supposed to go live yesterday has been postponed due to a bug discovered. In a statement given to BuzzFeed News, Amy Bessette, Apple’s spokeswoman, said, “We have discovered a bug in development of watch OS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected. We will not release watch OS 2 today but will shortly.”
Watch OS2 already does a good job when it comes to running many apps at a good speed. The update aims at making the watch work even faster and improve the user’s overall experience.
What to expect from Watch OS 2 update?
The Watch OS 2 update will bring a bunch of new features to your Apple Watch. Explained below are a few key features:
Customizable watch faces: The company has shot a time-lapse video covering 5 cities – London, Hong Kong, New York, Mack Lake and Shanghai – over a period of 24 hours to create new watch faces. Other options like choosing pictures from the photo gallery will also be available.

Nightstand mode: With nightstand mode, the watch’s screen will be flipped horizontally while it is kept charging. The display screen will also light when you touch the screen or any of its buttons.
Reply to emails: With the update, Apple watch users will finally be able to reply to emails from their smartwatch. This feature will be similar to text messaging where emojis, voice dictation and smart responses can be used.
Tetherless Wi-Fi: This smartwatch users will now not have to connect to the iPhone to connect their watches on Wi-Fi. The networks will be made directly available on your watch, no matter which room your iPhone is.
Time Travel: This is similar to reminders and to-do lists where events of up to 72 hours will be displayed on the watch face.
