Drake’s public display of affection for Rihanna ahead of MTV VMAs 2016 could be hinting of a possible relationship between the two. Rumours have surrounded the duo for quite long now since they started spending more time with each other, but they are yet to officially confirm their relationship.
According to a report by the Page Six, a source has confirmed that the rapper will be attending the show on Sunday night. Drake flashed his affection for the singer by putting up a navy-blue billboard congratulating her for being chosen for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV VMAs 2016.
“Congratulations to Rihanna from Drake and everyone at OVO,” read the billboard.

The 28-year-old superstar headed to her VMAs 2016 rehearsals in a black lace-up top, baggy grey pants and accessorised the look with a black and white designer bag, shades and a black hat. She chose a pair of chunky trainers to go with her outfit.
According to a source, RiRi is very pleased with Drake’s gesture and it is the sweetest thing any man has ever done for her.
“That’s the sweetest thing any man’s ever done for Ri. She’s still in shock and has been being all giddy about it since it’s gone up,” the source was quoted as saying by the Hollywood Life. “It’s really hard for Rihanna to shake Drake, especially when he goes out of his way to do something so sweet and on the highest magnitude possible. His congratulatory Billboard is epic and one for the ages.”
The source added, “She certainly appreciates the gesture and once this weekend cools off she’s going to personally thank Drake and talk to him about what they want to do now that she believes he’s interested in her and wants more.”
The gesture has once again started off the buzz around them, confirming that the pair is still very close if not anything else. The move only added to the string other things that the couple did to trigger off the rumours, including flirting on stage during Rihanna’s Anti World Tour and collaborating on a number of love songs, the Mirror.co.uk reported.
