Verizon Wireless and Motorola have launched their new joint device called the Droid Turbo. The two companies described the new product as a superphone instead of a smartphone. And there is a basis for this.
The Droid Turbo is touted to be among the most impressive handsets to hit the market this year. that is because it boasts of unique and highly sophisticated specs that consumers have ever since in any smartphone.
Finest superphone ever
For a while, Motorola’s flagship device Moto X has been considered as among the finest and best Android devices to it the market. But this time, there is no doubt that the Droid Turbo outdoes it without exerting much effort.
Judging from the looks and aesthetics, the Droid Turbo adopts similar shape and size. It comes with a woven nylon back cover with the prominent Verizon branding.
The new device is about to be a monster of a smartphone. The size may just be standard. It stands 145.5 mm and 73.3 mm in width. Its size could be comparable to that of Samsung Galaxy S5.
There is no doubt that the Droid Turbo is all about the specs. For a start, it comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor. That is practically the fastest processor to date that we may have ever seen. The screen is dense with an AMOLED screen with 2,560 X 1,440 pixels. That outpaces the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and even the LG G3.
The 3900mAH battery complements the dense screen. Thus, the superphone is thicker in comparison to most of its competitors. According to Verizon and Motorola, the Droid Turbo could take a battery life span of up to 48 hours in mixed usages. That is still impressive.
There’s more. The Droid Turbo is equipped with a powerful 21-megapixel rear camera complemented with a 2-megapixel front shooter. It may not be equipped with a MicroSD card slot, but the device comes in 32GB as well as 64GB models with 3GB of RAM each. Plus, the companies offer a two-year replacement guarantee on the superphone’s Gorilla Glass 3 screen.
