Will we get to see Nina Dobrev in the “Vampires Diaries” season 8 now that Ian Somerhalder insulted his ex for their previous love scenes?
Reports are saying that Nina Dobrev might not accept the offer to reprise her role as Elena Gilbert for the coming “Vampire Diaries” season 8 especially now that she heard Ian Somerhalder diss her in an interview.
The actor, who plays as Damon in the hit vampire show, said that his love scenes with his former girlfriend were just “cute,” Celebrity Dirty Laundry said.
Noting that it was hard to separate his feelings for Nina Dobrev before, playing Damon and Elena making out was far from sultry or sexy.
“It is cute to see them and their interactions together,” he told.
“I think anyone — whether it be Nina or Paul or myself — anyone will tell you it’s typically going to be a lot more fun to play the bad guy, the bad boy, the bad girl because they’re more dynamic, they’re more fun. But it is cute to see Damon and Elena and their interaction. Damon is just smitten, he’s in love and it’s cute, you know?”
The report also added that dissing Nina Dobrev was Ian Somerhalder’s way blocking her from returning to the “Vampire Diaries” season 8. It can be recalled that she quit the show in season 6, following her break-up with Ian Somerhalder and his marriage to Nikki Reed.
CW boss Mark Pedowitz already hinted that Nina Dobrev might come back for the finale.
“We backed Julie [Plec] in her decision…there are discussions going on with Nina, we’d love to have her back…These are discussions that go on, hopefully she’ll be back, but should it not work out, Julie has planned out a great series finale for fans.”
