US Elections 2016 presidential hopeful Rand Paul has hinted about shocking revelations about the Clinton Foundation headed by presidential contender Hillary Clinton. While he denied giving specifics, he taunted more by saying that the secret is “going to shock people.”
Shocking Secret of the Clinton Foundation
In his first official campaign activity held in New Hampshire, Paul told the press that if he revealed more about what he knew about the Clinton Foundation then “it wouldn’t be a secret anymore.”
“I think there are things that went on at the Clinton Foundation that are going to shock people, and I think they’re going to make people question whether or not she should be president or not,” Paul was quoted as saying by ABC News.
Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation was criticized after being found to have accepted donations from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Better than Hillary Clinton
In a separate interview with Politico held before he went to New Hampshire for his first political campaign activity, Paul was already critical of Clinton.
“There’s a lot of stuff there that is, I think, going to shake the confidence of Americans in her ability to lead in an honest fashion,” Paul said during the interview.
Paul has also taken a jab at Clinton’s use of her private email during her term as secretary of state.
“She’s saying: ‘Well, you need to trust me even though I broke the rules, and maybe the law to begin with.’ … I think a lot of Americans are going to say: ‘Hmm, that doesn’t sort of pass the smell test,’” Paul said.
“I think you should obey the law and I think nobody should be above the law. And I think, clearly, Hillary Clinton, by all appearances, seemed to be evading the law. … [T]he whole idea that she evaded the federal law … is something that’s going to trouble a lot of American voters,” he went on.
“[Y]ou combine that with the shenanigans that have been going on at the Clinton Foundation. We see this trail of money that’s going roundabout from government to foundations to Bill Clinton to shareholders of big companies that had to be approved by Hillary Clinton when she was secretary of state,” he said.
Asked as to why he thinks of himself as a better candidate than Jeb Bush, Paul still linked his answer to Clinton.
“It’s … a little bit like Clinton: yesterday’s news, in the sense we’ll get more of the same. … [F]or a long time in our country, people have wanted to go with safe. ‘Oh, this is safe: His brother has been president, his dad has been president. Let’s go with safe…’ And I’m pretty sure that safe isn’t going to win anymore.”
