After her split from longtime partner Gad Elmaleh, Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco has now moved in with Italian filmmaker Lamberto Sanfelice. The daughter of Princess Caroline and niece of Prince Albert is living her life away from the spotlight in Rome.
The royal who turned 30 on Wednesday is “happy for the moment, enjoying what seems quiet stability.” Charlotte Casiraghi is eighth-in-line to the Monaco throne.
The “princess without a title” is also the granddaughter of legendary Hollywood actress Grace Kelly or Grace of Monaco. The mother-of-one is an equestrian.
Charlotte Casiraghi met her now boyfriend Lamberto Sanfelice during the wedding of her brother Pierre Casiraghi with Italian heiress Beatrice Borromeo. She has been dating the 42-year-old director since June 2015.
The couple also joined her mom Princess Caroline during a family skiing vacation in Zurs in January. Charlotte Casiraghi moved in with her boyfriend earlier in the year in Rome.
The Monegasque royal loves the anonymous life in the Italian capital, according to a section of the media. Charlotte reportedly likes strolling in the markets and in parks, going out to dinner and spending time with Lamberto.
According to the current issue of French magazine Paris-Match, the young mother is fluent in Italian and has quickly adapted to Roman life. The publication also reported that Charlotte, her 2-year-old son Raphael and Lamberto joined her family for a day out at the Monaco Beach Club in June.
The gathering included Charlotte’s mom, older brother Andrea, his wife Tatianna, their kids Sasha and India; Pierre and Beatrice and younger sister Princess Alexandra of Hanover.
“The couple seems very comfortable out of the spotlight. He has been on vacation with Charlotte, her son and her family, and they seem to be enjoying this time together,” said a source talking to People.
Meanwhile, the equestrian who is a style icon in her own right attended a host of events this year. Charlotte Casiraghi attended a Mont Blanc event with Hugh Jackman in New York in April. The young mom attended the Met Gala in a colorful Gucci gown, Hello reports.
