He lost his Ballon d’Or award to Lionel Messi last January. Is Cristiano Ronaldo’s career-graph descending? The Portuguese maestro has other plans.
Ronaldo plans to be the world’s best professional for a while. The Real Madrid superstar is investing in special measures to prolong his career at the topmost level of professional soccer, as reported by ABC newspaper in Spain.
Medical tests reveal that Ronaldo has a body of a man four years junior than him. Many fans worship Ronaldo for his flexible and muscular physique rather than his playing style. Ronaldo was also recognized due to the “Spornosexual” movement. The movement reflects men who want to portray their bodies as “ultimate accessories.”
But now, 31-year-old Ronaldo is determined to shed his muscle mass to maintain his speed in the field. So football is the priority for the aging superstar. Ronaldo has started shedding flabs, reducing two kilograms of body weight since January 2015 to attain 78 kg. And he intends to lose one kilogram per year to remain a threat for the opponent’s defenders.
And despite transfer rumors, Cristiano Ronaldo sticks to his previous comment that he wants re-sign with Real Madrid this summer.
“Real Madrid is a club with a lot of pressure from both inside and outside, but I have been here for many years and I am used to it,” he told Mahou.
“The grandeur of the club means that people look at us differently to others. However, on a personal level things are positive, I am very happy and I want to be at this club.
“I feel the support of the fans. When the people sing my name, I’m proud.”
