CJ McCollum was the driving force for Portland with a 6-for-6 shooting from the field in the first half. He posted 17 points and was supported by Damian Lillard in the back court notching up 19 points, 3 rebounds and two assist in the first half. Jazz defense failed to contain Blazers’ guard duo who were the No 1 defensive team of the league. They conceded 30 2nd quarter points to trail at half-time, their worst in a single quarter this season.
The Blazers have displayed decent shooting rate so far. They shot 58.5 percent from the field. The first quarter was evenly poised, with the Blazers leading 27-26.
At the end, Damian Lillard scored a game-high 35 points, marking his second consecutive 30-plus point show. McCollum finished with 27 points and four assists. Al-Farouq Aminu added 13 points to the winner’s tally.
