Tracy Morgan has just married his long-time fiancé Megan Wollover during a very intimate ceremony in Cresskill, New Jersey. People reports that the ceremony was held Sunday night.
Wollover, 28, could not be happier about marrying Morgan, especially after the actor nearly lost his life to a car accident last year. She tells People, “After almost losing Tracy last year, I am so grateful to finally be married to the love of my life.”
The ceremony was intimate and very moving
The ceremony was said to be emotional. It was attended by the couple’s close friends and family, including the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Maven. In preparation for the wedding, Morgan admits it was quite a journey to recovery following his accident. The”30 Rock” actor even had to learn to sit, stand and walk again.
But he was determined to succeed, saying, “I had to get better. There was no ifs, ands or buts about it.” Indeed, Morgan succeeded as he was reportedly not sporting a cane throughout the ceremony.
The accident injured Morgan and killed another comedian
In June 2014, a Walmart tractor-trailer had slammed into a limousine carrying Morgan on the New Jersey Turnpike. USA Today reports that the accident killed comedian James McNair while leaving Morgan seriously injured. The couple married just 14 months following the tragic event.
Wollover and Morgan have been together since 2011. Now that they are married, Wollover could not be more excited about her future with her new man. She says she feels so blessed to be able to spend the rest of her life with Morgan.
