Toshiba has just revealed a slew of new devices including three new Windows-based laptops.
The first of the three new laptops is called the Satellite Radius which essentially imitates Lenovo’s Yoga laptop’s 360-degree hinge than enables it to be used in five different modes – Laptop, Tablet, Tabletop, Presentation, and Audience mode.
The Satellite Radius’s screen is a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen display and its body is made from brushed aluminum which houses a 4th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and up to 1 terabyte of hard drive storage. The Radius also features speakers from Harman Kardon, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, an HDMI port that supports 4K output. It will run on Windows 8.1.
The Satellite Radius will be available sometime in early July from Best Buy and Toshiba with a starting price of $925.99.
The other two laptops that Toshiba unveiled are the Satellite Click 2 and Click 2 Pro which are both 2-in-1 devices with detachable displays that then double as tablets. Both devices feature a 13.3-inch removable display and Windows 8.1.
The Click 2 will feature a quad-core Intel Pentium Processor, 500GB of hard drive storage, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and a Skullcandy audio system. The Click 2’s detachable screen has a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and detaches from the device’s keyboard base via a ‘quick-release’ latching mechanism found on the laptop’s hinge.
On the other hand, the Click 2 Pro will feature a full HD 13.3-inch removable display that utilizes a new ‘push-pull’ hinge mechanism that makes it easy to attach or detach the screen from the keyboard base.
The Click 2 Pro will be powered by a 4th generation Intel Core processor and will feature 802.11ac Wi-Fi, a microSD card slot, and Intel WiDi for screen sharing to a TV. The Click 2 Pro also features a dual-storage solution consisting of a 500GB hard drive installed in the keyboard base and a 128GB SSD installed in the display.
The Satellite Click 2 will be priced at $586.99 while the prices for the Satellite Click 2 Pro start at $1028.99. Both will be available sometime in June exclusively from Best Buy and Toshiba.
