Up to this point, Facebook users are still expressing grief over the alleged death. It started with a Facebook post from Viral Time Lapse, asking fans of the popular comedian to show their condolences.

However, upon careful investigation, the link to the said post is just a way of getting more likes for a certain Facebook page. We posted a photo of the said post below instead of providing the link, as it is still unsure if going to the said page is safe for your devices and personal information.

Snopes made a straightforward answer to questions about the Tommy Chong dead reports. According to the website, which is known for debunking death hoaxes over the past several months, Viral Time Lapse just tried to get attention again because the said post was originally made in December 2015 and was reposted in March 2016. It means that the death hoax was posted several months before the video showing Chong and Diaz surfaced.

According to Snopes, Viral Time Lapse is a hoax page, insisting that the comedian is not dead. In fact, the 78-year-old actor has been very active posting updates on his different social media accounts.

In one of his recent updates on Twitter, Chong confirmed that he hanged out with Diaz. He also posted a photo of a colorful car with a weed painting on the front door. The Canadian-American actor also shared a photo on Facebook, which is a clear proof that he is not dead.
