While EA is pumping up the excitement with Battlefield 1, Titanfall fans may be disappointed as developers have been mum regarding its progress. Fortunately, a recent source has confirmed its release date, which is this year.
Titanfall 2 release date confirmed
According to Dual Shockers, Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen was kind enough to give a vague reveal as to when Respawn Entertainment would release Titanfall 2. During the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Technology Conference, he confirmed that we can expect the game “roughly three weeks from Battlefield 1.”
The problem is, he didn’t mention if it will be three weeks after or before Battlefield 1. However, Jorgenson said that the game will go head-to-head with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It was also revealed that the studio is “not uncomfortable with that.”
Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be hitting stores on November 4. Judging by Titanfall 2’s competition with COD, it will probably be released three weeks after Battlefield 1. Perhaps somewhere around November 11.
In earlier reports gathered by PC Gamer, McFarlane Toys leaked that Titanfall 2 will be releasing in “winter 2016.” While we are already aware that Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 are both big titles by EA, CEO Andrew Wilson said it would be a problem for the studio, as it is not the best move to release the game during that time.
Video Gamer suggested that we can expect an announcement about Titanfall 2 during E3. Hopefully, it will be more than a mere announcement of the release date.
