Tim McGraw, country singer and actor, is giving away homes to veterans of the United States during his remaining dates of his “Shotgun Rider 2015” tour. The actor has collaborated with Operation Homefront and Chase and has already given away six homes to veterans.
Giving to charitable causes is not new for McGraw. Starting 2012, he has given away more than 100 homes in collaboration with Chase and Operation Homefront. To be precise, the number is 114, and the number of veterans helped was 300 spanning 30 different states.
In a video, McGraw mentioned, “[Veterans are] people who have given us security for a lot of years.” He added, “And we’re able to do that back for them a little bit in a small way.”
According to McGraw, he feels a personal connection with veterans as he also has a sister who fought in the Gulf War. He also has many other veteran family members. He mentioned, “I don’t think you can live in this country and not have some sort of personal connection with people who put their lives on their line.”
Tim is currently on his “Shotgun Rider” tour that started a month back and will continue till September.
