‘The Walking Dead” Season 6 finale left fans with a gnawing question. Who died? The answer lies with “The Walking Dead” season 7 premiere episode but AMC is getting creative in its strategy to keep the identity of the dead character a secret.
According to Cinema Blend, it was discovered that the AMC American horror drama series is now being filmed indoors allegedly to avoid more speculations about the anticipated scenes, especially those related to the character who was killed during the cliff-hanger season 6 finale.
Apart from the fact that the production team is taping inside the studios, it was also disclosed that the area is filled with faux plants and CGI backgrounds in order to limit people from taking a peek of what is going on to the characters of “The Walking Dead” season 7.
It was even theorized that showrunner Scott Gimple might have already implemented a strange strategy: to have the dead character’s actor come to the set for an extended period just to escape from the scrutinizing eyes and creative minds of the fans.
As Facebook site The Spoiling Dead Fans would put it, filming in the studio means that spoilers are being shelved.
“Not much in terms of updates today, spoiler friendos! Filming is at the studio tonight,” the fan site claimed. “Studio = Where spoilers go to die. If you’re looking to check out filming tonight, I’d probably go ahead and make other plans. They do not allow people to wait outside the studio.”
In another post on Monday, The Spoiling Dead Fans shared that “Things have been slow in terms of filming updates” of “The Walking Dead” season 7.
“They have been at the studio since Wednesday doing night shoots. To our understanding everyone from the ‘lineup’ was filming on all three days,” it said. “Filming switches to day shoots today, but it looks like they will still be at the studio today and tomorrow.”
“If you’re in the area and have any updates for us, please give us a shout,” it added. “It’s probably going to be a slow week, at least in the beginning. Hunker down, buttercups!”
Amid this strategy employed by AMC relative to shelving possible “The Walking Dead” season 7 spoilers, the death reveal might just be the most shocking in television history!
