Is there a possibility that Kai Parker (portrayed by Chris Wood) would return for “The Vampire Diaries” season 8? Let us see what the spoilers have to say.
Kai, or Malachai Parker, was part of The CW supernatural drama’s sixth season, and as he left the show, a lot of fans have expressed their desire to see him back.
Amid this clamor, has the management and production team behind “TVD” finally decided to take him in?
In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Julie Plec gave an update on the possibility of having Kai as part of “The Vampire Diaries” season 8.
“Every day in the writer’s room, we’re pitching Kai comeback ideas,” Plec revealed. “Maybe one day we’ll hit on a good one!”
Does it mean that fans still have every reason to hope for the return of the 28-year-old actor?
Apparently, the wait may take long (or many no longer happen at all?) since the EP hinted that the theme of the upcoming season may not need Chris Wood’s character, “the ‘90s-loving Gemini witch,” on it.
She shared though, that she is excited about the theme of the upcoming season “which should become very clear the minute [The CW starts] announcing episode titles.”
Meanwhile, one new cast member is reportedly sure to join “The Vampire Diaries” season 8 which will premiere on Oct. 21.
Accordingly, Kristen Gutoskie will be part of the new season as the nanny of a pair of supernatural girls.
On the other hand, it was speculated that contrary to previous reports, Nina Dobrev is not actually coming back, as what Celeb Dirty Laundry suggested.
The theory stemmed from the shared photo of the cast enjoying dinner thrown by Plec. In the said snap, the 27-year-old actress was obviously absent.
This made the entertainment site to surmise in its spoilers that there might not be a reunion between Nina Dobrev’s Elena and Ian Somerhalder in “The Vampire Diaries” season 8.
