The much-anticipated television series ‘The Kettering Incident’ will premiere in Australia tonight, July 4 on Foxtel.
The eight episode series, which was awarded the Special Jury Prize at the prestigious Series Mania Festival in Paris just last week, will be led by The Night Manager’s Elizabeth Debicki.
The Kettering Incident tells a drama of mystery which was shot entirely in Tasmania.
According to Foxtel News, The Kettering Incident follows thje story of Anna Macy, played by Elizabeth Debicki, who left Kettering at age 14. She left the place after her best friend suddenly disappeared. She then returned 15 years later only to see her town torn between environmentalists and loggers.
She was also accused of killing her best friend that night when she disappeared while other rumors said her pal was abducted by aliens. When another girl disappeared, Anna was set to discover the real situation not only of her past but also to the people in Kettering.
Meanwhile, Foxtel Executive Director of Television Brian Walsh was all praises to its lead star Elizabeth Debicki.
“Elizabeth has well and truly emerged as one of Australia’s hottest talents internationally and audiences will be further intrigued as her remarkable performance in The Kettering Incident premieres on Foxtel’s showcase channel this winter,” he said.
Other “The Kettering Incident” cast included Anthony Phelan, Henry Nixon, Damien Garvey, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Damon Gameau, and Sianoa Smit-McPhee. There are also a line-up of Tasmanian actors included in the cast.
The television series is also produced by Porchlight Films in partnership with Sweet Potato Films with Madden Walker as its showrunner.
Foxtel tied up with Screen Australia and Screen Tasmania to bring The Kettering Incident in Australia.
The Kettering Incident will air every Mondays at 8.30pm AEST starting tonight on Foxtel’s showcase channel.
