“The Incredibles 2” was announced back in March 2014, 10 years after the first installment was delivered. Bob Iger, CEO of Walt Disney, made the announcement but not much was leaked out about the storyline of the movie. However, nothing can stop speculations and “The Incredibles 2” spoilers are already out on the web.
The poster of “The Incredibles 2” is presented in the D23 Expo, and it’s confirmed that Brad Bird will write and direct the movie. It would be a direct sequel of “The Incredibles.” According to rumors, Jack Jack might be the new villain of the movie. Dash, Violet and Jack Jack were the kids during the first movie and they are expected to grow up if Jack Jack has to play the role of the villain.
While talking about the risk of making a sequel, Brad Bird said, “It can be fun, and certainly I had a blast getting to do the action sequences in The Incredibles, but that’s the dessert. Every movie is kind of a risk, and you’re thrown into a new pool and you haven’t learned how to swim in it yet, so I’m going to bumble along and make the same mistakes that I usually do and hopefully spot them and correct them. I really love those characters and that aspect of getting to be with them again is exciting to me.”
According to Bird, the emphasis of the movies should be more on the characters. As he said, “I think that the greatest special effect is caring about a character. A lot of movies seem to forget that, and they bring out a lot of fireballs and then wonder why the fireballs don’t have that much impact, no matter how loud and how big they are. But the truth is that the fireball isn’t that exciting unless you care about the person running from it.”
“The Incredibles 2” release date is still not announced. However, Pixar has saved November 22, 2017 and June 15, 2018 as release dates for their upcoming movies. You can expect to see the latest installment of “The Incredibles” on any of these dates.
