“The Blacklist” season 4 spoilers are telling us that Liz Keen is back following her comeback in the previous season’s finale.
Fans were shocked when Liz Keen, played by Megan Boone, came back after faking her death from Raymond Reddington (James Spader). It can be recalled that Liz Keen was killed in childbirth.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Megan Boone discussed her return and even hinted major spoilers for “The Blacklist” season 4.
“I can say that it’s clear at this point that the answers Liz seeks about her mother, her past, and her connection to Red aren’t going to come from Red,” she said. “When Liz asks Red a question — possibly one she’s asked him many times before — he is persistent in steering the conversation to a different subject.”
Megan Boone added that Red is “consistently evasive.”
“So it’s timely that she try other avenues to get the answers she seeks as well as actively seeking out the life she wants. It’s a good point in the series for Liz to break away.”
As Liz has already gotten away from Red, Megan Boone debunked high hopes from fans for a Liz and Tom’s happy ending, saying, “I don’t think we’re at the happily-ever-after point of The Blacklist… I’m not sure we’ll ever be.”
Meanwhile, the creator and executive producer of “The Blacklist” Jon Bokenkamp sat down with The Wall Street Journal to talk about the spinoff show “The Blacklist: Redemption.”
Dropping some spoilers, the executive producer said that the show will likely be of the same DNA, but it is separated in a different world.
“Personally, I’d like a viewer who has never seen the Blacklist to be able to tune into that show and get invested. “The Blacklist: Redemption” is its own unique animal. As for how to physically write two shows, no, I have not yet figured that out,” he said.
