Is this year not too good to Taylor Swift? Apart from her personal life, can her professional life be in the line too?
Amid her controversial and highly-publicized rift with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris and rapper Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian, a new report appeared to have taunted her further.
In the newly-released list of nominations for MTV Video Music Awards 2016, it can be observed that the 26-year-old singer’s name has never been mentioned in any of the categories but her ex’s and Kanye’s were both there.
What could be the reasons behind it? Is “Bad Blood” not good enough to be part of the list?
According to Mirror UK, Taylor Swift actually has a chance to be part of the awards, but only if someone would consider the Best Collaboration nomination of “This Is What You Came For,” which she co-wrote with Calvin Harris.
Apart from being nominated under the Best Collaboration category, the Scottish DJ was also among the nominees for Best Male Video.
Meanwhile, the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer’s other nemesis, Kanye West was nominated under the Video Of The Year and Best Male Video categories for the highly-controversial single “Famous,” where she was seen “naked” lying next to the rapper.
Considering this scenario at the VMA 2016, the report surmised that Taylor Swift must be “fuming” upon learning about the list of nominees.
Over the weekend, the DJ, whom the singer broke up with last month, reportedly threw the “ultimate shade” at her as he lipped synched at the rapper’s son’s “That Part,” Mirror UK shared in a separate report.
“Wifey gonna kill me, she the female OJ,” he rapped while holding a frying pan in his Snapchat video.
Prior to Calvin Harris singing along with a Kanye West-related piece, it was Kim Kardashian who took a “cheeky swipe” at Taylor Swift when she recited the lyrics “”I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that b**** famous” in a Snapchat post.
