Former Brooklyn Nets forward stretch-4 Mirza Teletovic is set to join the Phoenix Suns.
“Thank you Brooklyn Nets and Nets fans for 3 great years!!!” tweeted Teletovic on Thursday.
He has agreed to a one-year, $5.5 million deal, according to the league sources. Earlier, the Nets rescinded their $ 4.2 million qualifying offer making Teletovic an unrestricted free-agent. After signing Tyson Chandler, the Suns were looking for more shots to enrich their roster.
Diagnosed with multiple blood-clots this season, Teletovic sat out most of the games last season. The forward averaged 8.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in 2014-15 in the 40 games he featured.
The 6-feet-9 is a career 36.2-percent shooter from 3-point range. The 29-year-old has career averages of 7.0 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
