“Suicide Squad” cast member Karen Fukuhara recently spilled out details about her role in the upcoming thriller movie.
The 24-year-old Japanese-American actress revealed interesting information about her role as Katana and the Soul Taker, as told to Comic Book.
“She’s very loyal to Amanda Waller and Rick Flag,” Karen said about her character Katana. “She works under them and keeps a rowdy bunch in line. She’s a protector and a fierce warrior.”
Kare Fukuhara also dished out that Katana has the power of the Soul Taker, a report from Screen Rant said.
“She has her husband’s soul in her sword and I got to talk to Maseo throughout the film and yes, of course that’s the in the film, but you’ll have to wait and see how much of the plays into the movie,” she added.
The actress, who will have her first major role in movie, said that she was lucky to have great stunt double and stunt coordinator who give her points on executing good stunts for “Suicide Squad.”
“I was able to do all of my own stunts except for one dive role, but all of my stunts” she said. “So, yeah, I got to run on top of a car, I did all of my sword work… It really made a difference when I knew everything from muscle memory and I didn’t have to think about it when the cameras were rolling.”
Apart from Fukuhara, “Suicide Squad” cast members also included Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney.
Other cast also includes Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, and Cara Delevingne.
The “Suicide Squad” cast members were introduced by Warner Bros. at the recent The Big Picture presentation at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
“Suicide Squad” will hit big screens on August 5, 2016 under Warner Bros. Pictures.
