It’s the showdown you have all been waiting for, a debate featuring leading Republican and Democratic candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
Morning News USA is getting ready to host the first ever debate this year that would feature leading Republican and Democratic presidential hopefuls with Steve Harvey hosting. On April 1, Clinton and Trump will go onstage to discuss their campaign platforms and key issues such as the economy, job market and terrorism.
Knowing Trump, it may be safe to say that viewers can expect to hear about other key issues such as illegal immigrants and Mexicans too. Meanwhile, another issue that is expected to be discussed here is abortion and more importantly, Trump’s latest stance on the subject.
On Thursday, the controversial GOP presidential candidate commented that women should be punished for having an abortion. This ended up in Trump receiving backlash from both Republicans and Democrats. In response, Clinton tweeted, “We can’t let someone with this much contempt for women’s rights anywhere near the White House.”
Following the strong reactions he received, The Guardian reports that Trump went on to clarify his position on abortion as soon as he could. In fact, he immediately changed his stance from wanting to have women punished to holding the ones who performed the abortions “legally responsible, not the woman.” It is expected that Clinton and Trump will discuss the topic in the debate on Friday.
The debate is set to take place at the Broadway Boardroom of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. Viewers can stream the debate live on MorningNewsUSA.com. The event begins at 5 p.m. ET.
Steve Harvey is scheduled to host because Morning News USA is very pleased with the way he hosted this year’s Miss Universe. Oh and in case you’re still wondering, this story was created to celebrate April Fools’ Day.
