Steph Curry’s wife Ayesha is clearly unhappy with the comparison drawn by ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith between her and LeBron James’ wife, Savannah Brinson. She took to Twitter to slam Smith for advising her to be more like Savannah.
After her husband’s team Golden State Warriors lost to James’ Cleveland Cavaliers 115-101, Ayesha accused NBA of rigging the games for money and ratings on Twitter.
“I’ve lost all respect sorry this is absolutely rigged for money… or ratings I’m not sure which. I won’t be silent. Just saw it live sry,” she tweeted, as quoted by the Hollywood Life.
Later, she deleted the tweet and admitted that the tweet was posted at the “heat of the moment.” And the drama did not just end there. Ayesha revealed her father was racially profiled by the police, who threatened to remove his credentials and even tried to arrest him. She even apologized saying it has been a long night for him.
Singer Selena Gomez, 23, also extended her support to Curry by sharing Ayesha’s tweet accusing NBA of rigging the games, reported Hollywood Life.

But Ayesha’s actions in the heat of the moment propelled Smith to begin his tirade against her that went on for about 5 minutes. He said that she has stepped out of pocket and then praised Savannah for not trying to draw attention towards herself and being mindful of how she is representing her husband.
“She sits there, she doesn’t bring any attention to herself, she never tweets and calls out the league and stuff like that, and nobody is more scrutinized than her husband,” the Mail Online quoted him as saying during his commentary. “But she thinks about how she represents him and as a result she doesn’t do that.”
This prompted Ayesha to take to Twitter once again to give him a suitable reply, “@stephenasmith why are you putting two women against each other like that? You’re the one that’s out of pocket.”
On Friday, Smith replied that he was telling her to watch herself as her actions might put her husband in a compromising position. Thursday’s NBA finals also saw Stephen being ejected from the game for throwing his mouth guard at the stands after losing temper.
