Starbucks Makes Secret Pink Drink An Official Menu Item

If you love pink, then you will easily fall in love with Starbucks’ Pink Drink. It was once just a secret menu item. Today, Starbucks is proud to announce that the Pink Drink is now an official part of its menu.

“We’re thrilled that the beloved Pink Drink is joining the Starbucks menu, just in time for the warmer spring month,” Starbucks Vice President for U.S. Retail Beverages Vivienne Long. The drink first gained attention last spring. Pink Drink lovers kept taking photos of their beloved cold beverage on social media and proceeded to share it with the rest of the world.

The much loved Pink Drink is actually made using coconut milk instead of water to make the Strawberry Acai Starbucks Refreshers beverage. This is how the drink gets its nice rosy pink hue that everyone seems to be in love with. According to a report from Bustle, Pink Drink has a bit of caffeine in it. It comes from the green coffee extract used to make the Strawberry Acai Refreshers Beverage. Meanwhile, the Pink Drink is then finished off with pieces of freeze-dried strawberries. Perhaps, it also appeals to many because the refreshing drink is dairy free.

Starbucks is proud to go pink.

On the other hand, Starbucks is proud to say that the Pink Drink is not the only pink beverage that it can concoct for you. In fact, if you are still looking to drink something pink, you can also try the refreshing Teavana Passion Tango Iced Tea. Aside from that, there is also the Strawberry Crème Frappuccino blended beverage and the ready to drink Strawberry Lemonade Starbucks Refreshers Revitalizing Energy.

Lately, Starbucks has been getting more and more creative with its drink. In fact, Starbucks in Japan recently introduced the American Cherry Pie Frappuccino blended beverage. Inspired by popular dessert cherry pie à la mode, the drink is made with a vanilla flavored creme base, pie crumbles and cherry compote topped with whipped cream. At the same time, a beautiful pie crust dome tops the entire drink. “As the straw pierces through the drink, the crust adds a crunchy texture to the creamy vanilla and sweet-tart cherry flavors of the beverage,” Starbucks explained.

One thing’s for sure, drinks in Starbucks has just become more interesting and colorful.
