The Sony Xperia Z6 and Samsung Galaxy S7 will battle against each other at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016. Two flagship models with powerful features are meant to take over the market as soon as they launch. For a while, there’s been lots of buzz in the media regarding their releases. But now that the Galaxy S7 has passed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) hurdle and the Xperia Z6 is tipped for February 22 release, we can expect a good competition between these two phones.
We reported earlier that the Sony Xperia Z6 is likely to share a few common features with the former Z5, of which price is one. You can expect the Samsung Galaxy S7 to have similar features like the Galaxy S6 Edge.
Based on display and design, the Xperia Z6 will sport a 5.2-inch screen with 424 pixel density. Four more variants are likely to join the model, with additional Ultra and Mini variants. Samsung is expected to maintain a sophisticated design in the Galaxy S7, which will come in 5.1-inch screen having 576ppi.
When it comes to photography, nothing can actually beat the Z6’s most advanced camera. On the contrary, Samsung might drop the camera power from 16MP to 12MP for its rear camera with Britecell technology. However, the snapper will come packed with f/1.7 aperture capability.
Sony’s Xperia Z6 will be equipped with Qualcomm chipset, while the Galaxy S7 will come with a Snapdragon 820 chipset. Those models that will be sold in Europe and other regions will carry an Exynos 8890 chipset, reports Neurogadget.
PCAdvisor notes that the Sony Xperia Z6 will boast a long lasting battery, but there are scopes of wireless charging facilities. Also, there is the possibility of reversible USB Type-C. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S7 might get a 3,000mAH battery. As for the price, the two phones are expected to cost around $780.
