Sony Xperia Z5 series and Z3 Plus users are in line for some updates that will bring improvements and bug fixes. As for Sony Xperia Z3 owners still on the lookout for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, they can now try the LinuXRoM.
Sony Xperia Z5 and Z3 Plus Update
Update to the Sony Xperia Z5 series and Z3 Plus device pushes the build number to 32.2.A.0.253. Likewise, it offers a number of bug fixes and Bluetooth-related improvements. Specifically, the update comes with enhanced management of Bluetooth devices. However, GSM Arena reports that other details like countries or market are not yet known.
The update confirmation comes a couple of weeks following the Xperia Z5 update that revived the Stamina Mode. As for other Xperia Z3 users who wish to run their devices with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, it is now possible thanks to the LinuXROM Android update.
Xperia Z3 LinuxRoM Update
According to International Business Times, the LinuxRoM, based on the Android Marshmallow update, comes with a new range of performance tweaks, short-cuts, and extended battery life, including a number of value-added features to improve user experience.
As with other custom ROMs, it is best that users know the flashing process properly before they install the custom ROM. Not flashing the device properly could lead to a bricked phone. Likewise, people are advised to back up their data so they can restore things should installation go haywire. A note of caution, though: warranties will be voided once the Android device has been subject to custom ROM installation.
Disclaimer: Providers of the update cannot be held responsible for what happens to the device following update. Users can update at their own risk.
