Last time, we reported that Sony launched the Xperia X, XA and X Performance smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Now, there are more reports about the European prices of the Xperia X and XA.
According to GSM Arena, the Sony Xperia X comes at a price tag of €599 (approx. US$659) and the Xperia XA is priced at €299 (approx. US$329). Pre-orders of both phones have started in Germany via Amazon. Although the Sony Xperia X and XA appears in the Amazon Germany list, the X Performance is missing, which suggests that the device won’t launch in Germany. However, the device will sell in others parts of Europe at a price of €699 (approx. US$769), reports Sony Xperia.
Sony recently wrote on Facebook that there won’t be any Z series from the company. Instead, there will only be Xperia X series. One of the comments on Facebook (translated) read, “A Z6 will not exist. The new X series is under a modified concept that meets the needs of our users even more accessible.” Going by what Sony has revealed so far, it can be pretty much assumed that the SD820-powered Xperia X Performance is the 2016 flagship, and not any other device.
Both the Sony Xperia XA and X are budget-friendly smartphones that boast impressive features. The Xperia X, which is a high-end device packs in a 5-inches display, 23MP rear camera, 13MP front camera and 32GB native space. It has Android 6.0 Marshmallow running at its base with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 giving it power boost. The battery power is 2620mAH.
The Sony Xperia XA has a 5-inch screen size, and 16GB internal storage space, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and 2300mAH battery. The device is powered by MediaTekHelioP10 and has 2GB of RAM. The Xperia XA weighs lesser at 138 grams than the Xperia X, which weighs 156 grams, reports Android Central.
