The soak test for Android 5.1 Lollipop on Motorola Droid Turbo has finally kicked off and the users may expect to get the update soon.
Early previews of the new software release is now available to users who are invited to take part in the soak test of Motorola. This is available only for Motorola Droid Turbo users, and this will be a test before the final version release. Though it has not been declared which software the company is talking about, it’s expected to be Android Lollipop 5.1.
As Droid-Life reports, “A number of our readers have been invited to ‘participate in an early preview of a new software release’ through Motorola’s Feedback Network. Of course, the invite doesn’t mention Android 5.1 Lollipop, but this has to be it.”
In order to be eligible for the test, the user needs to be a member of Motorola Feedback Network. Motorola Droid Turbo seems to have skipped Lollipop 5 and simply moved toward the updated version. The company kept an eye on the updated version of the Android operating system for quite a long time.
As Tech Times reports, David Schuster, Senior Director of Software Product Management, said that the software update for the Droid Turbo was still in the lab cycle. This was when Lollipop 5.1 had to release on June 10.
The Android Lollipop 5.1 update for Motorola Droid Turbo is going to be a significant one as users will get the features of both Android 5.0 and 5.1 in it. Till date, the handset features Android KitKat 4.4.4 and moving directly to 5.1 is quite significant. As reported, many users have chosen to take part in the soak test, but details are still not out.
It reports are to be believed, the update will be done anytime in the next seven days. All users will be able to take advantage of the new update once Motorola launches it officially. So keep your fingers crossed and wait how these changes go for the flagship Motorola model that has already won hearts with its features.
