The Wand Company is going to bring an exact replica of “Star Trek’s” most-desired Communicator.
This device can work as a Bluetooth handset for your smartphone, and it can also be used as a portable speaker. The Communicator is going to mark its debut at San Diego Comic-Con this week.
The Wand Company is the legendary creator of several other Bluetooth wands, and sonic screwdrivers – the latest was a “Star Trek” phaser. The company says it used “structured-light 3D scanning” to ensure the Communicator is replicated by “every curve and line” of the original.
The Star Trek Shop described this Communicator as “the most accurate replica ever made” with authentic sound effects to recreate your favorite scenes. The manufacturer also said that “Star Trek” fans will be able to answer their connected smartphone just by flipping the antenna frame open. However, it is not very clear how to make a call using this gadget.
According to a CNET report, the Communicator is crafted from die cast aluminum. It is coupled with a magnetic wireless charging stand. The built-in speaker of this Communicator is expected to be of high grade and quality to play music.
The main reason behind launching this communicator is to give ardent fans of “Star Trek” a chance to relive their good-old-days. But you need to spend a handsome amount of money to make this possible. The device is expensive and the Star Trek Shop is not offering any installment or EMI payment options to the buyers.
You can pre-order the Communicator at the Star Trek Shop, and you have to wait till January 2016 to try your hand on it. Price is fixed at $149.95. In spite of its price tag, The Wand Company is sure to have plenty of buyers who would love to flaunt this cool stuff.
