Emilia Clarke, the star of Game of Thrones reads out a letter to her younger self on Teen Vogue. The letter contains pearls of wisdom that Emilia wants to share with all.
The golden nuggets of wisdom she shares include career goals and also lessons about relationships, as reported by People. She told her younger self to be less harsh about herself. ‘You are not as fat you think you are.’ And that’s perhaps the best part of it because every person tends to look his own self. People love and appreciate however women look,” she said.
“There are some women who look some way and there are other women who look another way, like a whole other way. And the way that the other women look, people love because they look like women,” the British actress added.
She shared about life’s journey and how unlike one’s journey to anyone else’s. She shared that she believes that dreams can come true no matter how impossible it seems. “There’s going to be times where someone says that dream that you’ve had, your entire life… the moment when someone says, ‘that’s not possible,’ it is.” Clarke said.
She also touched on love and asked her younger self to not take heartbreak seriously because it is only natural. “You’re going to feel some serious heartbreak. You’re going to feel some proper things, and the reason why it’s going to hurt so much is because, that heartbreak is going to make you doubt yourself.”
She then said that in the end, all will be worth it because of the loving people around. “There will be lots of people who will tell you you are worth it,” she said.
It feels surreal but encouraging to know that Clarke, who was named the “Sexiest Woman Alive” by Esquire magazine in October 2015, also had some issues growing up and like other people, coped with them well and can look back with a happy smile.
