“Finding Dory,” the sequel of the famous 2003 movie, “Finding Nemo,” is scheduled to release on June 17, 2016. However, the character Nemo may not be part of the sequel.
While characters like Dory, Deb/Flo, Marlin, and Gill have been confirmed, there is no mention of Nemo in the list. Speculations are high that Nemo will not be a part of “Finding Dory.” According to Cross Map, the role of Alexander Goulding is missing from the cast. Fans are also wondering why the previous protagonist Nemo is missing from the list.
The first sneak peak of “Finding Dory” will be available in D23 Expo in Anaheim this August. According to an official statement, “Filmmakers will unveil never-before-seen footage from Pixar’s upcoming The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory and Disney Animation’s Zootopia and Moana. The event will include surprise announcements, musical performances, and appearances by the films’ star voice talent.”
The statement also added, “The Studio will unveil its animation and live-action film slates via two huge Hall D23 presentations featuring surprise guests and many unforgettable moments.” You can expect to see the first “Finding Dory” trailer during the show.
The cast members are way too excited about the return of the epic animation movie. Ellen Degeneres will be the voice behind the Pacific regal blue tang fish Dory. She said in a statement, “I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time. I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating Toy Story 16. But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”
The film is about Dory’s journey to find her parents in a rehabilitation complex which happens to be her birth place. She meets new characters throughout her adventure. A giant squad, a whale shark and more will be part of her journey. The story is set along the California Coastline and welcomes a lot of characters. The director and Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton takes the audience back to the extraordinary underwater journey.
