Two schoolgirls from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire in England told a court on Monday they thought the sexual abuse and exploitation they had suffered in the hands of a child sex ring were “normal.”
Eleven men are currently on trial for allegedly committing sexual offenses against the youngsters. It was heard the girls had been conditioned and groomed prior to their horrifying experiences.
The girls were identified only as “A” and “B” legal reasons. One of them was aged 12 or 13 when the abuse started.
Child “A,” in a police statement obtained by The Telegraph, said the men would contact her through her number if they wanted to meet up.
On some days, she gets to sleep with not just one, but with four or five men. The men “invite” their friends over, she said. “You get passed round… It wasn’t particularly me looking for them. It was them looking for me.”
The men face 45 charges from abusing girl “A” and four for girl “B.” The sexual offenses range from multiple rape of a child under 13, child prostitution as well as administering a drug to “stupefy” a girl in order to engage in sexual activity. The defendants deny the charges believed to have been committed between 2006 and 2012.
They Were Husbands And Fathers
The court learned that some of the defendants were married and had children. Some worked in the market while others were taxi drivers.
Prosecutor Oliver Saxby QC told the court that it didn’t help that the girls came from unstable backgrounds, thus becoming easy and perfect targets for their alleged abusers. It was learned the girls lived “off the rails.” Although eager to be treated as grown-ups, the girls also wanted to be looked after, to be taken care of. That they were looking “for excitement and for attention” proved to be the perfect ingredients for the men to pounce on them, Saxby said. “They were easy prey for a group of men wanting casual sexual gratification that was easy, regular and readily available.” Saxby said the men befriended the girls and showered them with gifts such as alcohol, DVDs, food, and occasionally drugs, to gain their trust.
The Defendants Named
Girl “A” seemed to confirm Saxby’s analysis. She told the court she delighted on the thought that “Asian men” sought her and wanted to sleep with her. She said she thought her abusers found her attractive. Girl “A” told the court she believed she had sex with about 60 men. “The scale of it is, you may agree, horrifying,” Saxby said.
