Our earlier reports confirmed the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow roll out to Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge in Europe. While South Korea was the first country to receive the latest software update, Poland was ranked second.
The two devices are Samsung’s upcoming releases slated for Feb. 21 release. It should be mentioned that Poland has always remained the first region to receive access to updates after Korea. In regards to this, T-Mobile Poland posted on twitter, “Android #Marshmallow is already on the way to our Samsung #s6 and #s6Edge.”
Fresh internal reports talk about the key eight new software features, likely to bring dynamic functional capabilities to the upcoming devices, reports Tech Times. They are as follows:
- Google Now on Tap
The feature will ensure context and time-sensitive searches based on search phrases used by you.
This functionality helps in saving battery power, particularly when your phone is not in use. Usually, a smartphone loses its maximum power when left idle.
- Power saving mode
On activating the option, notifications will turn gray. As the feature name suggests, it will help to save power.
- App Permissions
With this new function, users get approval for app installation on their devices.
Users are always looking forward to newer emojis. Once the Marshmallow update is installed on Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, they can have access to new emojis.
- In-app browser
This feature helps users to open links that appear within messaging apps.
- Colorful locked screen icons
Should this app be installed, the screen icons will turn more colorful.
- Lock screen clock centered
Once the update is done, you will notice the lock screen clock at the center of the display.
