The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro release is imminent. For a while, speculations were doing the rounds that the device will launch in the first half of this year. The phone was recently certified by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), indicating that the release will happen anytime soon.
FCC revealed an interesting feature about the phone – that it will sport a removable battery. The position of the battery was recently demonstrated in a diagram, as reported by GSM Arena. You will find an FCC ID label on the back side of the battery compartment. The battery cover is already installed when bought from retailers. After removing the cover, you can easily install the battery. The FCC ID will show on the cover, which is attached by acrylic glue.
Earlier, the Galaxy A9 Pro was approved by China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Centre TENAA, hinting at the phone’s quick release. While the media got a glimpse of the phone, it was further revealed that the phone would be 0.5mm thicker.
Further details were divulged about the Galaxy A9 Pro at the TENAA centre. It will feature a 6-inch AMOLED display screen with 1920×1080 pixel resolution. The phone will boasts dimensions of 161.7×80.9×7.9 mm, and will have support for GSM, TD-LTE, CDMA, LTE FDD, CDMA 2000 and WCDMA. Apart from this, the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor and will contain an Adreno 510 GPU. Based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, the phone will have 32GB internal memory and 4GB of RAM.
The camera features include a 16MP rear camera sensor and an 8MP front camera sensor. Other features in the phone include support for 4G LTE, 2G, 3G, Bluetooth connectivity and USB. The Galaxy A9 Pro will also come equipped with a fingerprint sensor, light sensor, accelerometer, pedometer and proximity, reports IBTimes.
