Salma Hayek and Alec Baldwin will be seen in a comedy directed by Fred Wolf. The comedy “Drunk Parents” will start shooting early 2016.
Peter Gaulke and Fred Wolf wrote the screenplay of what is going to be a serious comedy. It’s a story of a couple who drop their daughter off to college then get drunk. The drunk state of the couple leads to bad decisions: a kidnapping, mistaken identity, and more.
The Fortitude International and Bron Studios film will be produced by Robert Ogden Barnum, Jason Cloth, Nadine de Barros, Daniel Wagner and Aaron L. Gilbert. Big names like CW Media Finance and Brillstein Entertainment are linked to the movie.
Barnum said, “Alec and Salma are both incredibly charismatic, hilarious talents…paired together with this brilliant writing, audiences are going to love watching these two beautiful people take on all odds in Drunk Parents.”
They chose to cast Hayak and Baldwin for the simple reason that they will play good parents. Salma has two films to be released soon. One of them is Kahlil Gibran’s “The Prophet,” which is also produced by Hayek. The other movie is “Some Kind of Beautiful” with Pierce Brosnan and Jessica Alba.
Baldwin’s last mission on the big screen was “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation” with Tom Cruise. He will be seen in “Concussion” with Will Smith.
Though it is known that the shooting will start early next year, there has been no confirmation on the release date of “Drunk Parents” till date.
