Real War Coming, NATO & US Versus Russia

NATO is showing a force of might against Russia, but the latter will not sit idly. Whereas NATO may have allies under its wings, a careful analysis of Russia’s capabilities have led many to believe the alliance is playing with fire, and that it would do well if it won’t pick a fight with Moscow.

NATO’s Bid Against Russia

NATO recently demonstrated its role in Europe through “two US Air Force B-52 strategic bombers flying thirty kilometers away from Russia’s border.” However, while it may be a show of force from the alliance, many experts believe it would not be wise to provoke Russia.

NATO has become increasingly concerned over Berlin’s recent actions as German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier called for less tensions and better active dialogue with Russia.

Sputnik claims that such concerns do not have basis. Chancellor Angela Merkel, in fact, announced recently that she wants to increase Germany’s armed forces by adding 7,000 more troops.

“It is a sign that Germany intends to play a greater military role in the future,” German news magazine Focus said via Sputnik. While NATO and U.S. are maintaining a defensive approach to the tensions, the report also added that there should be more consideration on what Steinmeier suggested.

Real War is Coming

Global Research, however, contends that NATO may be more capable than what many supposed. In fact, the alliance reportedly boosted its presence in Eastern Europe 13 times for the past few years.

“…if data on Russia-NATO power balance at the Western direction is analyzed, as well as military activity build-up rate at our borders, scale of combat equipment deployment, if the grade of Russia’s demonization is estimated, one can say that preparation to a real war is taking place. As such acts are usually undertaken at the forefront of a war,” noted Colonel General Leonid Ivashov, President of the International Centre of Geopolitical Analysis.

Ivashov also added that Russia should be prepared for provocations.

“And here the main players are certainly not the Europeans. The main player is the Americans. Apart from task to stop Russia, they have yet another one here – not to let Europe get out of the US control,” added Ivashov.
