Was Azealia Banks almost choked to death by Russell Crowe? The rapper claimed that the 52-year-old Academy Award winning actor attacked her at a party.
The 25-year-old rapper claimed that Russell Crowe was racist and violent towards her while she attended a party at his suite.
She alleged that he called her the ‘N’ word, Daily Star reports.
Azealia Banks took to Facebook and recounted the incident to her fans. “To recap my night, I went to a party at Russell Crowe’s suite, at which he called me an*****, choked me, threw me out and spat at me.”
“Last night was one of the hardest nights of sleep I’ve had in a long time. The men in the room allowed it to happen. I feel terrible today,” Banks wrote in a now deleted post.
The incident took place at Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday night. The “Gladiator” actor had reportedly invited about 10 people to have dinner and listen to music, according to TMZ.
One of his invitees RZA brought Azealia Banks along. According to eyewitness present, trouble started brewing when Azealia Banks laughed at Russell’s music selection.
The singer even called him and at least one other guest “boring white men.” A female guest allegedly jumped to Crowe’s rescue.
However, Banks allegedly threatened Crowe and his female guest. “You would love it if I broke my glass, stabbed you guys in the throat, and blood would squirt everywhere like some real Tarantino s***,” the sources recounted.
They claimed that she also dropped “a few n-bombs. When Azealia Banks reached for her glass, cocked it back, Russel Crowe grabbed her and carried her out of the suite and called for the hotel security guards.
Both Azealia Banks and Russell Crowe’s publicists have been contacted for comment. However, it is not known whether the Facebook posts were actually from Azealia.
Meanwhile, the rapper has earlier abused former One Direction singer Zayn Malik. Besides, she has also got into a twitter spat with comedian Russell Kane over supporting Malik. Azealia was suspended from Twitter and also dropped from UK Rinse FM’s Born & Bred Festival.
