Warner Bros. has been trying to produce a live-action Akira movie for a long time now. There were rumors going rounds about the film and there is yet another one now involving Christopher Nolan.
Many actors, writers and filmmakers were said to have tried their luck, but unfortunately nobody could fit in to the iconic animated film. Now, it is rumored that the graphic novel which is being turned into an animated movie will be made in a much bigger way than expected, according to io9.
Akira is going to be made into not just a film, but a trilogy, which could probably end up in the hands of Nolan. Warner Bros. studio is rumored to have spoken to Nolan regarding making the live-action Akira trilogy.
Wait up; don’t just come to a conclusion that Nolan is directing the Akira trilogy already. The news that is out lately reports that Nolan has had a meeting with someone that was involved in the project once. But again, the news may or may not be true.
Nolan is planning to come up with a mysterious new film dated to release in theaters worldwide on July 21, 2017.
