The 20th season premiere of “Dancing With the Stars” has kicked off with a blast. The reality show has conquered television since it began ten years ago, and this season promises to be one of the most unforgettable ever.
Rumer Reunites Bruce and Demi
The standout after Monday’s episode was none other than Rumer Willis, 26, daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. Both parents were proudly among the audience as they watched Rumer dance with partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
In an interview with TIME, Willis shared how she was a bit hesitant at first to accept the offer to become a “Dancing With the Stars” contestant.
“When [the producers] asked me a few years ago, I didn’t think it was something I would even be capable of,” she said. “But I’ve been doing a show called For the Record and I’ve been dancing a little bit more, so when they asked me this year, I thought, ‘What an incredible opportunity to learn how to dance properly from a great teacher.’”
Rumer even revealed that father Bruce was “very excited” to see her in the show, although Bruce was seen trying to maintain a straight face as he cheered for her.

“It seems like such an amazing opportunity and you really have to work hard and push yourself and I’m constantly looking for opportunities to grow and push myself in different ways,” she told E! News.
Prim Everdeen Dances
Another huge surprise came in the form of Willow Shields and her cha cha routine with partner Mark Ballas. Although she received a humble score of 25, judge Carrie Ann told her she’s going to very far.
In a personal blog post written for Access Hollywood, Shields shared how amazing she thinks Ballas is.
“I’ve already gotten to know Mark a lot since we are in the dance studio together for hours every day. He’s an incredible dancer… scratch that, he’s one of the best dancers on this planet! But besides that he makes the experience fun. Also, he is so focused on choreography and every detail I can’t believe it.”
Shields is all set for the release of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” where her character Prim Everdeen plays an important role alongside onscreen sister Jennifer Lawrence.
Post-Pie Performance for Suzanne
According to USA Today, Suzanne Somers and her partner Tony Dovolani danced a throwback cha cha wearing sparkling workout clothing that mirrored that of the 80’s. A misstep was noticeably seen during the routine, giving her a score of 25.
Len Goodman, though, acknowledged how Somers is “in lovely condition.”
In a display of a blossoming friendship between Somers and Dovolani, the pair had a bit of fun on March 14, International Pi Day.
As Somers strolled toward some fans during rehearsals, Dovolani smashed a plate of pie on her face.
The twentieth season of “Dancing With the Stars” will return next Monday, the day the first elimination will take place.
