“May the 4th Be With You”
Bookmaker Coral is said to have cut the odds of the second royal baby to arrive on May 4 from 16/1 to 9/1, The Mirror reported. Coral spokesman John Hill said he saw a rush of bets for the May 4 due date just within 24 hours.
“We’ve seen a significant amount of money on the royal baby arriving on May 4 over the past 24 hours. Either punters feel the Great Kate Wait could linger on for a few more days or many of these bets may be from avid Star Wars fans,” Hill told The Mirror.
The Duchess of Cambridge is originally scheduled to give birth from mid- to late April. Now that she is delayed, speculations were leaning towards a May 4 to May 7 due date. If this happens, the birth of the second royal baby may coincide with UK’s May 7 General Election. In this case, as previously reported by Morning News USA, the announcement of the royal baby birth will be delayed to give way to much more important announcement of the government.

Prince Charles is hoping for a granddaughter
Earlier, Prince Charles was quoted as saying he is hoping for a granddaughter. During an event at Windsor Castle, Prince Charles is said to have shared a small talk with 100-year-old military veteran Eric Jones.
Jones, the oldest surviving member of the Welsh Guards, introduced her only daughter to Prince Charles.
“My father introduced me as his daughter and Prince Charles asked how many daughters he had,” shared Lynda Bateman, Jones’ daughter.
“My father said ‘One – and that’s enough’ and Charles laughed and said ‘And we’re hoping for a granddaughter!” Bateman said.
